Role Overview: The school are seeking a dynamic and passionate Teacher of English to join their team on a 1-year fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective English lessons to students in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the educational journey of the students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
- Assess, monitor, and report on the progress of students, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and resources.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through involvement in extracurricular activities and events.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in English or a related field (PGCE/QTS preferred).
- Proven experience teaching English at the secondary level.
- Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
