We are seeking an experienced and passionate English Teacher to join our team at a school in Tonbridge. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to inspire and support students to develop their skills in reading, writing, and critical analysis across all key stages.
Responsibilities:
- Planning and delivering engaging and inspiring English lessons that are aligned with the National Curriculum and our school's ethos and values.
- Monitoring and assessing student progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and senior leadership, and implementing strategies to ensure that all students achieve their full potential.
- Contributing to the broader life of the school, including attending meetings, participating in CPD, and contributing to school events.
- Supporting the development of literacy across the school.
Requirements:
- A relevant degree and qualified teacher status (QTS).
- Extensive experience teaching English in a UK secondary school setting.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the English curriculum across all key stages.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to inspire and engage students.
- A commitment to supporting the personal and academic development of all students.
