We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join our esteemed independent girls-only secondary school in Bedford. The school prides itself on its recent outstanding achievement in all areas, as recognised in its most recent ISI inspection. This position is available for either full-time or part-time applicants, and the successful candidate will commence in January, committed to a two-term duration.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and inspiring English lessons to secondary school students.
- Develop and implement an enriched curriculum that aligns with the school's academic standards.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages students' intellectual and personal growth.
- Provide constructive feedback, evaluate student progress and maintain accurate records of their development.
- Collaborate with fellow educators and contribute to the ethos and academic goals of the English department and the school.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a relevant teaching qualification.
- Strong command and enthusiasm for the English language and literature, with a knack for engaging students in the subject.
