Examinations Officer

Job Description

Examinations Officer, 37 hours per week (42 weeks per year).

Salary: £22,777 - £27,344 FTE

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Examinations Officer to join an Ofsted-rated Good Secondary School and Sixth Form in Northampton. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the effective administration and coordination of all examinations within the school, ensuring compliance with examination board regulations and fostering a positive and efficient examination experience for both students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and administer all aspects of internal and external examinations.
  • Liaise with examination boards, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and submitted on time.
  • Organise examination venues, invigilators, and the distribution and collection of examination papers.
  • Provide support to students with special examination arrangements.
  • Maintain accurate records of examination entries, results, and related data.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, students, and parents regarding examination-related matters.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in examination regulations and policies.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within an educational setting.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with examination board processes and regulations.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
