At our Hemel Hempstead-based school, we seek an enthusiastic and knowledgeable teacher to help develop our students' skills and support them on their educational journeys. As part of this role, you must be experienced in teaching students with a range of disabilities and medical conditions, be resilient towards different behaviours and be able to plan engaging lessons.
Key responsibilities:
- Plan and teach lessons, working with small groups and individual students
- Prepare teaching materials, take registers and write reports
- Develop student's confidence and independence and encourage them to learn and safely engage within the community
- Manage behaviour, mark work, and communicate with parents and carers about the student's progress
- Work with specialist teaching services, medical staff, counsellors and psychologists.
