Dunbar Education Recruitment Agency is seeking a qualified SEN Maths Teacher to join our team on a full-time basis. In collaboration with leading SEN provisions, we strive to provide exceptional educational experiences tailored to the unique needs of every student.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Minimum of 6 months experience in a teaching role
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
Desirable Skills:
- Previous experience working with pupils with Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) and/or behavioural needs, with a strong understanding of the complexities and challenges they may face
- Kindness, empathy, and patience in dealing with students with diverse needs, particularly those with SEMH difficulties
- Openness to working within a SEN provision environment and willingness to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual student needs
Responsibilities:
- Delivering high-quality Maths education to secondary-aged students within a SEN provision, taking into account their SEMH needs and tailoring teaching approaches accordingly
- Creating engaging and inclusive lesson plans that cater to the unique learning styles and abilities of students with SEMH challenges
- Providing pastoral support and guidance to students, fostering positive relationships and helping them develop social and emotional resilience
- Collaborating with colleagues, SENCOs, and external professionals to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies for students with SEMH difficulties
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday
- 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
