Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant

Are you a dedicated and compassionate individual with a passion for supporting students with special educational needs (SEN)? Dunbar Education Recruitment Agency is currently seeking a Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support and assistance to students with special educational needs, primarily those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to implement individualised education plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Assist with the personal care needs of students when required.
  • Willingness to work either 1:1 with students or in a classroom setting, as directed by the SENCO or teaching staff.

Requirements:

  • Possession of an Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or willingness to obtain one.
  • Previous experience working with students with SEN, with a particular focus on ASD.
  • Availability to work 5 days a week during term time only; no part-time applicants will be considered.
  • Demonstrated kindness, patience, and empathy in working with students with diverse needs.
  • Prior experience in a UK educational setting is essential.
