Position Overview: We are actively seeking a Fully Qualified English Teacher to join a dedicated team at an SEN (Special Educational Needs) Provision in Milton Keynes. The school specialises in providing support to young adults, primarily with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. As a Secondary English Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in delivering an enriching and engaging English curriculum to these young adults.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality English lessons for secondary-aged students.
  • Tailor lessons to meet the distinctive needs and abilities of students with SEMH requirements.
  • Cultivate a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters personal growth and development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a unified approach to student support and progress.
  • Assess and track student progress, offering constructive feedback and guidance as needed.
  • Instill a passion for literature and language, nurturing a love of learning among your students.

Requirements:

  • Fully Qualified Teacher (FQT) status with a valid teaching qualification.
  • Specialisation in English at the secondary level.
  • Prior experience teaching in UK schools is a must.
  • Possess an active DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) on the update service, or a willingness to obtain one.
  • Strong classroom and behavior management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities.
