As a Fully Qualified SEN Teacher, you will play a crucial role in supporting and educating students with special educational needs (SEN). Your expertise and dedication will contribute to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that nurtures each student's unique abilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver tailored lessons to meet the individual needs of students with SEN.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching strategies, resources, and technology to engage and inspire students.
  • Assess and monitor students' progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and the school.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and support staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
  • Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes positive behavior management techniques.
  • Establish effective communication channels with students, parents, and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Fully Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, specializing in SEN education.
  • Extensive knowledge of SEN teaching methodologies and strategies.
  • Experience working with students with a range of special educational needs, such as autism, learning disabilities, and communication disorders.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • The ability to create engaging and differentiated lesson plans to meet individual student needs.
  • Knowledge of relevant SEN legislation and policies.
