They are seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious Humanities Teacher who is knowledgeable and passionate about their own subject specialism and is also able to also to deliver the NCFE CACHE Level 2 Technical Award in Childcare. They are happy to consider applications from any Humanities specialism along with Child Development, but the ability to teach Sociology, Religious Studies or Psychology would be an advantage.
The Humanities Department prides itself on its commitment to ensuring pupils achieve their full potential and push themselves beyond their comfort zones, ensuring consistently good GCSE and A-Level results. They strive to make lessons enjoyable yet challenging for students to encourage a love of learning and confidence in their own understanding.
They are a large, friendly department with experienced teachers, all with a commitment to continuous school improvement, incorporating History/Geography/Religious Studies/Psychology and Sociology at GCSE and A-Level, as well as Politics and Law at A-Level only. With GCSE and A-Level courses in Humanities heavily subscribed and us having successfully incorporated GCSE Psychology and Sociology within KS4, joining them at this time of growth could offer some exciting opportunities.
The position offers an excellent opportunity for either an established teacher or an NQT to join our over-subscribed and expanding school. An opportunity to take a lead in this subject will be available for a suitably experienced applicant.
