GEOGRAPHY TEACHER WANTED

Job Title: Geography Teacher

Location: Oxford, Oxfordshire

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: Competitive, based on qualifications and experience

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Geography Teacher to join a secondary school based in Oxford. As a Geography Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of our students, imparting knowledge about the world's physical and human landscapes, and fostering an understanding of the interconnectedness of various geographical phenomena.

Responsibilities:

  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions, express their opinions, and engage in collaborative activities.
  • Assess student performance through regular evaluations, assignments, quizzes, and examinations, providing constructive feedback to support their growth and development.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress, ensuring compliance with school policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues, providing regular updates on student progress and addressing any concerns or issues promptly.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Geography or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.
  • Valid teaching certification or licensure in Geography or a relevant subject area.
  • Passion for teaching and a genuine interest in fostering students' curiosity and love for Geography.
  • Ability to integrate technology and digital resources into teaching practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail in managing administrative tasks associated with teaching.
