Position: Geography Teacher

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging Geography lessons to students of varying abilities and age groups, in accordance with the curriculum guidelines.
  • Teach a broad range of geographical topics, including physical geography, human geography, environmental issues, and global perspectives.
  • Instill in students a sense of wonder and appreciation for the natural world, diverse cultures, and interconnectedness of our global community.
  • Utilize innovative teaching methodologies, interactive resources, and real-world examples to make the subject relevant and captivating for students.
  • Foster critical thinking, spatial awareness, and problem-solving skills through class discussions, projects, and fieldwork experiences.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to support their growth.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel motivated, supported, and valued.
  • Encourage students to engage in sustainable practices, environmental stewardship, and global citizenship.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum materials, schemes of work, and cross-curricular projects.
  • Organize and lead field trips and geographical excursions to enrich students' understanding of geographical concepts.
