Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and flexible Day-to-Day / Temporary Cover Supervisor to join our team. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of the school during teacher absences, maintaining a positive learning environment and supporting students' progress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring students remain on task and engaged in learning activities.
- Delivering pre-set lesson plans across various subjects and year groups.
- Managing classroom behavior and promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Providing support to students in their learning, offering assistance and guidance as needed.
- Collaborating with teaching staff and senior leaders to address any issues or concerns that arise during cover sessions.
Requirements:
- A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with students effectively.
- Adaptability and flexibility to work across different subjects and year groups.
- A commitment to promoting the welfare and safeguarding of students.
