Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Cover Supervisor to join our team on a permanent basis. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing classes during teacher absences, ensuring that learning continues smoothly and students are engaged in meaningful activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervising and managing the behavior of students in the absence of the regular teacher.
- Delivering pre-set lesson plans across a variety of subjects and year groups.
- Providing support to students in their learning, answering questions, and maintaining a positive classroom environment.
- Managing classroom resources and ensuring they are utilized effectively.
- Liaising with teaching staff and senior leaders to report on student progress and any issues arising during cover sessions.
Requirements:
- A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage and engage with students effectively.
