History Teacher wanted!
We are currently seeking a passionate and knowledgeable History Teacher to join a secondary school in Oxford. As a History Teacher, you will have the opportunity to inspire and educate students, fostering a love for history and helping them develop critical thinking skills.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with the curriculum standards and objectives.
- Utilize various teaching methods and resources to deliver engaging history lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.
- Assess student progress through regular evaluations, assignments, and examinations.
- Provide constructive feedback to students to facilitate their academic and personal growth.
- Stay updated with the latest historical research, events, and pedagogical practices to enhance the quality of instruction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in History, Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Teaching certification or license in History (state-specific requirements may apply).
- Proven experience teaching history at the middle or high school level.
- In-depth knowledge of historical events, eras, and civilizations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Patience, adaptability, and a passion for teaching history.
- Ability to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail for planning and assessment purposes.
