HLTA, Stevenage, January start

We are seeking a dedicated and qualified HLTA to join a vibrant secondary school in Stevenage. The candidate must have experience in supporting students with Autism and Behavioural Needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support classroom teachers in the planning and delivery of lessons.
  • Work with small groups or individual students to provide additional support and guidance.
  • Lead and manage classes under the guidance of teaching staff.
  • Contribute to the development of individual education plans (IEPs) for students.
  • Assist with the assessment and recording of student progress.
  • Uphold a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere.

Qualifications and Experience:

The successful candidate must possess:

  • A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a secondary school setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff and contribute to a positive team culture.
  • A passion for supporting the academic and personal development of students.
