Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head of Department for Physical Education to lead a dynamic PE department. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality PE education, promoting a healthy and active lifestyle among students, and ensuring the department's continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Provide strong leadership and management to the PE department, inspiring and motivating staff to achieve excellence.
- Curriculum Development: Oversee the development and implementation of a comprehensive and engaging PE curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
- Teaching and Learning: Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality PE lessons, ensuring that all students are engaged and challenged.
- Assessment: Monitor and evaluate student progress, using data to inform teaching and ensure continuous improvement.
- Professional Development: Support the professional development of PE staff, providing guidance, mentoring, and opportunities for growth.
- Extracurricular Activities: Lead and promote extracurricular sports and physical activities, fostering a culture of participation and enthusiasm for physical fitness.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other departments and senior leadership to contribute to the overall success of the school.
