Salary: £33,075 - £50,571 (based on experience)

A fantastic and high-achieving primary school located in the heart of Amersham is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Key Stage 1 Teacher to join their warm and supportive team on a permanent, full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a nurturing and vibrant learning environment where pupils are at the centre of everything. As a KS1 Teacher, you will inspire young learners through creative and inclusive teaching, setting high expectations for achievement and behaviour. You will play a key role in delivering a rich, engaging curriculum and contribute to the wider life of the school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver well-planned, high-quality lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum

  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment

  • Assess and monitor pupil progress and adapt learning to meet individual needs

  • Build strong partnerships with families, colleagues, and external professionals

  • Promote outdoor learning and support whole-child development

  • Actively contribute to staff collaboration and continuous improvement

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold QTS and have experience teaching in KS1 (Year 1 desirable)

  • Have a strong understanding of phonics and early literacy development

  • Be a nurturing and reflective practitioner with excellent classroom management

  • Be passionate about early education and outdoor learning

  • Be organised, flexible, and a great team player
