Learning Support Assistant

As a 1-1 Learning Support Assistant, you will have a significant impact on a student's education journey. You will work closely with an individual student, providing tailored support to help them succeed academically and develop important life skills. This is a unique and fulfilling opportunity to make a lasting difference in a student's life within a fantastic school in Central Bedfordshire.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with a specific student/students, providing personalised learning support.
  • Assist with classroom activities and assignments to ensure the student's progress.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Help the students build self-confidence and develop important social skills.
  • Collaborate effectively with teaching staff, parents, and other support professionals.
  • Maintain regular communication to track and report on the student's progress.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational or support role.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Empathy, patience, and a passion for helping students succeed.
  • The ability to adapt to the unique needs of the individual student.
  • A commitment to long-term, permanent employment.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain one).
