Part-Time Maths Teacher - Hertford

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths Teacher to join a thriving, Ofsted 'Good' Secondary School in Hertford on a part-time, permanent basis starting September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified professional to contribute to a supportive and dynamic Maths department committed to academic excellence and student development.

As a Maths Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. There may be an opportunity to teach at Key Stage 5 for the right candidate. You will help inspire a love of Mathematics in your students and support their progress through engaging and innovative teaching strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver outstanding Maths lessons in line with the national curriculum

  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, adapting teaching to meet a range of learner needs

  • Contribute to departmental planning and development

  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour and academic achievement

  • Participate in school events, meetings, and CPD relevant to your role

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Proven UK teaching experience in Maths at secondary level

  • Enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to obtain)

  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Mathematics

  • Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills
