Maths Teacher (Secondary SEN)

Job Description

As a Maths Teacher specializing in Secondary SEN, you will play a crucial role in providing quality education and support to our students. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging Maths lessons tailored to the individual needs of SEN students.
  • Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment where every student has the opportunity to thrive.
  • Assessing students' progress and adapting teaching methods as necessary.
  • Collaborating with other teachers and support staff to meet the unique needs of SEN students.
  • Developing and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with SEN.
  • Providing regular feedback to parents and guardians on their child's progress.
  • Participating in professional development and training opportunities to enhance your teaching skills.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Maths to secondary students, preferably those with SEN.
  • A passion for working with students with diverse learning needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of students.
  • Knowledge of SEN strategies and best practices.
  • A commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
