We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join our team at a SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) provision in Milton Keynes. This is a maternity cover position, providing an excellent opportunity for an experienced Maths Teacher to make a positive impact on the education and development of young learners.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging and effective Maths lessons tailored to the individual needs of SEMH students.
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment to promote students' emotional well-being and academic progress.
- Develop and implement strategies to manage challenging behavior and support students' social and emotional development.
- Collaborate with colleagues and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and participate in meetings and reviews as required.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and guardians to foster positive relationships and provide regular feedback on progress.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Strong knowledge and experience in teaching Maths at various levels.
- Understanding of SEMH and the ability to adapt teaching methods accordingly.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, resilience, and a commitment to making a difference in the lives of SEMH students.
