Job Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced English & Media Teacher to join our team and make a positive impact in classrooms across Luton. As an English & Media Teacher, you will inspire and engage students, fostering a love for language, literature, and media studies. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality lessons, promote critical thinking, and contribute to the overall educational experience of students.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lesson Planning: Develop and deliver engaging and challenging English and Media lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
  2. Classroom Management: Create a positive and inclusive learning environment, managing student behavior effectively to enhance the overall classroom experience.
  3. Assessment: Implement effective assessment strategies to track and report on students' progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  4. Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development and enhancement of the English and Media curriculum, incorporating innovative and dynamic teaching methodologies.
  5. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to ensure a holistic and supportive learning environment for students.
  6. Extra-Curricular Activities: Participate in or lead extracurricular activities related to English and Media, promoting students' holistic development.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience teaching English and/or Media in the UK education system.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring students in English and Media studies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
