This school are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Teacher of PE who will engage, challenge and support our high achieving pupils. The ability to teach A Level is an advantage, but not essential.

They have an excellent reputation and is a high performing school where pupils display excellent attitudes towards learning, and behaviour is considered outstanding by Ofsted.

The successful applicant will actively model the aims, ethos and values of our Catholic foundation and traditions, supporting and promoting the Catholic Life of the school, considered outstanding by the Diocese of Westminster at the most recent Section 48 inspection.

The headteacher and senior leadership team are committed to recruiting high quality teaching and support staff to support the development of the students at the school.

They are committed to supporting the continuing professional development of all staff and to ensuring that School remains a stimulating and pleasant environment in which to work.

Also affiliated to several local Teaching School Alliance's (TSA's) and School Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) providers to help develop and train teaching and support staff. They actively seek to develop the capacity of our existing staff and provide leadership opportunities to enable successful career progression.

Staff are provided with a suitable induction programme and mentor where new to leadership positions. The opportunity to engage with further academic research through assisted MA qualifications, research projects and secondment opportunities enables our staff to remain at the leading edge of education.

Qualifications

  • A good Honours degree or higher qualification
  • Qualified Teacher Status or currently completing a course of professional training leading to QTS
  • Any other relevant qualifications specific to this post

Experience

  • A proven record of successful teaching
  • Experience of teaching across the full age and ability range
  • School experiences which have provided a thorough preparation for this post
  • Experience of monitoring and evaluating students' progress
  • Experience of initiating, implementing and managing developments within the subject area would be desirable

Situated on a greenbelt site in Rickmansworth, the School is a 10 minute drive from the M25 motorway and there is ample parking for cars on site .The school is only a 5 minute walk from Rickmansworth station which is served by the Chiltern overground line (Aylesbury-Marylebone) and the Metropolitan underground line (Amersham - Aldgate). The school site is very attractive and is close to the town centre where there are numerous shops and services.
