Job Description:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Physics Teacher to join a dynamic department starting in September 2024. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring Physics lessons to students across the secondary level. They will foster a deep understanding of the subject, ignite curiosity, and encourage critical thinking skills among our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Physics lessons in accordance with the school's curriculum and educational objectives
  • Utilise a range of teaching strategies and resources to create stimulating and interactive learning experiences
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and motivated to succeed
  • Encourage inquiry-based learning and practical experimentation to develop students' scientific skills and knowledge
  • Assess student progress through regular formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to support their learning
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular projects and enrichment activities
  • Participate in departmental meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school events as required

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialisation in Physics or a related field
  • Proven experience teaching Physics at the secondary level, preferably within an independent school setting
  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for Physics, with the ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice
  • Alignment with the school's ethos and values
