Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated RSC (PSHE) and RE Teacher to join a esteemed faculty for a one-year contract. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and enriching lessons in Religious Studies and Personal, Social, Health, and Economic (PSHE) education, empowering students to explore diverse perspectives, develop critical thinking skills, and cultivate positive attitudes and behaviors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver dynamic and interactive lessons in Religious Studies and PSHE education that align with the curriculum objectives and national standards.
  • Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where students feel supported, valued, and encouraged to engage in meaningful discussions and reflections.
  • Integrate diverse teaching methodologies, resources, and technologies to enhance student learning, comprehension, and retention.
  • Develop comprehensive lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments that cater to the diverse learning needs and styles of students.
  • Facilitate discussions on ethical, moral, and social issues, encouraging students to explore their own values, beliefs, and identities.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students, addressing their social, emotional, and behavioral needs in a compassionate and empathetic manner.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to coordinate cross-curricular initiatives, enrichment activities, and community outreach programs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Religious Studies, Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
  • Proven experience teaching Religious Studies and/or PSHE education at the secondary level, with a solid understanding of the national curriculum.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Passion for promoting social and emotional well-being, resilience, and positive mental health among students.
  • Commitment to fostering a culture of inclusivity, empathy, and respect within the school community.
  • Proficiency in integrating technology and multimedia resources into teaching practices to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
