Position: Science Teacher

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging Science lessons to students of varying abilities, fostering a deep understanding of scientific principles, theories, and practical applications.
  • Teach a combination of Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, tailoring lessons to the curriculum and individual student needs.
  • Utilize innovative teaching methodologies, practical experiments, demonstrations, and technology to enhance students' scientific inquiry and critical thinking skills.
  • Incorporate the values and teachings of the Catholic faith into Science lessons, fostering students' spiritual development and understanding of the harmony between faith and science.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where students feel motivated, encouraged, and supported in their scientific pursuits.
  • Monitor and track student progress through ongoing assessments, examinations, and coursework, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular projects, promote moral and ethical discussions related to scientific advancements, and inspire students to explore the interconnectedness of science and faith.
  • Encourage students to actively participate in the spiritual life of the school, including prayer, worship, and service opportunities.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in Science education and incorporate them into teaching practices while aligning with the school's Catholic ethos.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school community through participation in faculty meetings, faith-based activities, and school events.
