Role Overview: As the Science Cover Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality science education during a maternity leave absence. You will be responsible for supervising and managing classrooms, ensuring the continuation of learning in the absence of the regular classroom teacher, and supporting students in their science studies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead science lessons in the absence of the regular classroom teacher
- Supervise and manage classroom behavior to create a positive learning environment
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure the smooth running of science classes
- Provide support and guidance to students in their science studies
- Collaborate with the science department and teaching staff to maintain continuity in education
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is preferred but not essential
- Experience in teaching or supervising science subjects is highly desirable
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic educational environment
