Science Technician Assistant
Location: High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire
Contract: One Year Fixed Term Contract from September 2024 to July 2025
Hours: Full-time (37 hours per week)
Salary: Bucks Pay Range 1 - £23,297 - £24,223 per annum (Actual Pro Rata Salary £19,982 - £20,776 pa)

High Wycombe Secondary Grammar School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Gap Year Science Technician Assistant to join our vibrant Science Department. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the academic success of our students in a supportive and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the use of practical resources and facilities within the Science Department.
- Provide assistance and advice in the practical needs of the curriculum, ensuring smooth operation of practical sessions.
- Liaise with teaching staff and technical staff outside the department to facilitate effective teaching and learning.
Requirements:
- A Level in one or more science subjects.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Contract Details:
- One Year Fixed Term Contract from September 2024 to July 2025.
- Hours: 8.30am - 4.30pm (Monday to Thursday), 8.30am - 4pm (Friday).
- 39 weeks per year (term time plus 5 INSET days).
