Secondary School Art Teacher - Bedford

Job Overview: We are currently seeking a dedicated Art Teacher to join our team in Bedford on a part-time basis (3 days per week). As an Art Teacher, you will be responsible for inspiring and guiding students in their artistic endeavors, fostering creativity, and contributing to the overall development of a vibrant arts program within the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Curriculum Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging art lessons aligned with the national curriculum, catering to the diverse needs of students.
  2. Student Engagement: Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation, creativity, and a passion for the arts.
  3. Assessment and Feedback: Assess students' work, provide constructive feedback, and implement strategies to support individual learning needs.
  4. Classroom Management: Effectively manage the art classroom, ensuring a safe and conducive space for artistic expression.
  5. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues to integrate art into cross-curricular projects and promote a holistic educational experience.
  6. Communication: Maintain open communication with students, parents, and school staff regarding students' progress and achievements in art.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience teaching art in the UK education system.
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum for art.
  • Creative and innovative teaching methods.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
