Job Description: We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated Girls PE Teacher to join our team at a reputable Secondary School in Reading. The successful candidate will be passionate about physical education and have a strong commitment to promoting health and fitness among students.
Key Responsibilities:
Delivering Engaging PE Lessons: Plan and deliver high-quality PE lessons that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of secondary school students, with a focus on girls' physical education.
Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of the PE curriculum, incorporating relevant educational standards and best practices to enhance student learning outcomes.
Assessment and Feedback: Assess student performance in PE activities and provide constructive feedback to support their progress and development.
Promoting Healthy Lifestyles: Encourage students to adopt healthy lifestyle habits and attitudes towards physical activity, promoting the importance of regular exercise and wellbeing.
Extracurricular Activities: Organize and supervise extracurricular sports clubs, teams, and events to provide additional opportunities for student participation and achievement.
Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external stakeholders to support the overall educational objectives of the school and maintain effective communication channels.
Student Support: Provide pastoral care and support to students, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Hold a valid teaching qualification recognized in the UK, with QTS or equivalent.
Specialization in PE: Demonstrate expertise in physical education, with a focus on girls' sports and fitness activities.
UK Education Experience: Have a minimum of 6 months of experience working in a UK educational setting, preferably within a secondary school environment.
Passion for Teaching: Possess a genuine passion for teaching and inspiring young people, with a commitment to promoting the benefits of physical activity and wellbeing.
Effective Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to effectively plan and deliver engaging lessons and extracurricular activities.
