Job Description: Dunbar Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Physical Education (PE) Teacher to join our team in Northampton. As a PE Teacher, you will play a crucial role in fostering a love for physical activity and promoting healthy lifestyles among students. This position requires a minimum of 6 months of UK education experience, ensuring that the successful candidate possesses the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in the role.
Responsibilities:
Deliver Engaging PE Lessons: Plan and deliver dynamic and interactive PE lessons that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of students. Utilize innovative teaching strategies to engage students and promote active participation.
Promote Health and Fitness: Inspire students to lead active and healthy lifestyles by imparting knowledge about the benefits of physical activity, proper nutrition, and overall well-being.
Develop Curriculum: Collaborate with colleagues to develop a comprehensive PE curriculum that aligns with national standards and promotes holistic development.
Assessment and Feedback: Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their growth and development. Monitor individual performance and implement interventions as needed.
Extra-Curricular Activities: Organize and supervise extra-curricular sports clubs, teams, and events to provide students with opportunities for skill development, teamwork, and friendly competition.
Maintain Safe Learning Environment: Ensure the safety and well-being of students during PE lessons and activities by adhering to health and safety guidelines and implementing appropriate risk management practices.
Parent and Stakeholder Communication: Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders to provide updates on student progress, achievements, and areas for improvement.
Professional Development: Stay abreast of the latest trends, research, and best practices in physical education and actively participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Minimum of 6 months of UK education experience.
