Job Description: We are currently seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Teaching Assistant with expertise in motor vehicle studies to join our team at a Secondary School located in Bedfordshire. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the learning and development of students, particularly in the realm of motor vehicle studies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Classroom Support: Assist classroom teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons related to motor vehicle studies.
  2. Individualized Support: Provide one-on-one assistance to students who require additional help in understanding concepts or completing tasks in motor vehicle studies.
  3. Resource Preparation: Prepare and organize teaching materials, equipment, and resources required for motor vehicle studies lessons and activities.
  4. Practical Demonstrations: Facilitate practical demonstrations and activities to reinforce theoretical knowledge in motor vehicle studies.
  5. Supervision: Monitor students during practical sessions, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and providing guidance as needed.
  6. Assessment Support: Assist in the assessment of student progress and performance in motor vehicle studies, including marking assignments and providing constructive feedback.
  7. Behaviour Management: Support classroom teachers in maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment, addressing any behavioural issues that may arise.
  8. Collaboration: Collaborate with teaching staff and other support personnel to ensure cohesive delivery of the motor vehicle studies curriculum.
  9. Professional Development: Stay updated on current trends and developments in motor vehicle studies education, participating in relevant training and development opportunities as required.

Requirements:

  1. Education Experience: A minimum of 6 months of experience working in a UK educational setting, preferably within a secondary school environment.
  2. Motor Vehicle Knowledge: Proficiency in motor vehicle studies, with a solid understanding of automotive principles, mechanics, and technology.
  3. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with students, staff, and parents.
