SEN Class Teacher (SEMH Specialist)

Dunbar Education Recruitment Agency is seeking a dedicated Class Teacher who is committed to providing outstanding learning experiences for these students, supporting different small groups to enable them to thrive in the real world.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of students with SEMH.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and respected.
  • Implement effective behaviour management strategies to support students in overcoming challenges and achieving their full potential.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and external professionals to develop individualized learning plans for students with SEMH.
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to studentsand parents.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and carers to ensure a holistic approach to support.

Non-negotiables:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience teaching in the UK
  • Experience working with children with SEMH
  • Previous experience managing behaviour with pupils
