As an SEN Cover Supervisor at Dunbar Education, you will be responsible for:
- Providing day-to-day classroom support and cover for teachers in the absence of regular staff members.
- Assisting students with special educational needs, ensuring their individual needs are met and helping them access the curriculum effectively.
- Implementing and supervising behavior management strategies to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborating with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with SEN.
- Monitoring and recording student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents/guardians.
- Maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment, promoting student welfare and safeguarding.
To be considered for the position of SEN Cover Supervisor, you must meet the following requirements:
- Previous experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is essential.
- A strong understanding of various SEN conditions, learning styles, and strategies to support students effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic educational setting.
- Resilience and the ability to manage challenging behaviors in a calm and professional manner.
- A relevant qualification in education or a related field is desirable but not essential.
