We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Cover Supervisor to join our team.

As a SEN Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in the classroom environment. You will work closely with teaching staff to deliver pre-prepared lessons and maintain a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students with SEN, helping them reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to students with SEN in a classroom setting under the guidance of teaching staff.
  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons and activities to ensure continuity of learning in the absence of the regular teacher.
  • Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students with a range of learning needs.
  • Promote positive behavior and engagement, encouraging students to participate and achieve their academic goals.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff, SEN coordinators, and other professionals to ensure the individual needs of students are met effectively.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to teaching staff and maintaining accurate records.
  • Maintain a safe and nurturing environment, adhering to school policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect and engage with students.
  • Confidence in managing challenging behavior and implementing behavior management strategies.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in various school settings.
  • A passion for education and a genuine desire to support students with SEN.
  • Relevant qualifications or certifications in education or SEN are desirable.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
