Responsibilities:

  • Delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to students with special educational needs, ensuring their individual needs are met.
  • Developing and implementing tailored educational plans and strategies to support students' progress and attainment.
  • Collaborating with other professionals, including SENCOs and support staff, to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Conducting regular assessments and monitoring students' progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
  • Maintaining accurate records of students' achievements, behavior, and attendance.
  • Engaging with parents/carers to provide updates on students' progress and address any concerns.
  • Participating in professional development activities to enhance your skills and knowledge in the field of SEN education.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Early Career Teacher (ECT) with a specialization in Special Education Needs (SEN).
  • Demonstrated experience working with students with special educational needs, either through previous teaching roles or relevant placements during your training.
  • Knowledge of different SEN conditions, learning strategies, and interventions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • A genuine passion for inclusive education and a commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of students with SEN.
  • An up-to-date DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) is essential for this position.
