SEN Education Support Worker

Job Description

Role Description: We are seeking a dedicated SEN Education Support Worker with previous experience working with children and young people, particularly those displaying a range of diverse needs and challenging behaviours. The successful candidate will provide 1:1 support and supervision for pupils aged between 11-16, encouraging engagement in the learning process and supporting vulnerable young people to achieve their potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional 1:1 support and supervision for pupils aged 11-16.
  • Plan, deliver, and evidence sections of individual learning programmes tailored to pupils' needs.
  • Support vulnerable young people to improve their emotional well-being and raise aspirations for learning.
  • Deliver parts of individual learning programmes 1:1 or in small groups, including undertaking appropriate risk assessments.

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service.
  • Previous experience working with children and young people, preferably within a school or educational setting.
  • Experience working with vulnerable young people displaying diverse needs and challenging behaviours.
  • Passion for supporting young people with special educational needs.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
