Role Description: We are seeking a dedicated SEN Education Support Worker with previous experience working with children and young people, particularly those displaying a range of diverse needs and challenging behaviours. The successful candidate will provide 1:1 support and supervision for pupils aged between 11-16, encouraging engagement in the learning process and supporting vulnerable young people to achieve their potential.
Responsibilities:
- Provide professional 1:1 support and supervision for pupils aged 11-16.
- Plan, deliver, and evidence sections of individual learning programmes tailored to pupils' needs.
- Support vulnerable young people to improve their emotional well-being and raise aspirations for learning.
- Deliver parts of individual learning programmes 1:1 or in small groups, including undertaking appropriate risk assessments.
Requirements:
- Enhanced DBS on the update service.
- Previous experience working with children and young people, preferably within a school or educational setting.
- Experience working with vulnerable young people displaying diverse needs and challenging behaviours.
- Passion for supporting young people with special educational needs.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
