Role Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join an ofted rated good SEN primary school. This is a temp-to-perm position, offering an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to make a lasting impact on our pupils' lives. You will support the teaching staff in delivering high-quality, personalised learning experiences and contribute to the overall development of our pupils.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging and effective lessons tailored to the needs of each pupil.
  • Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing feedback and support to help them achieve their goals.
  • Work closely with teachers to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils, as needed.
  • Assist in the preparation of learning materials and classroom resources.
  • Collaborate with parents, carers, and other professionals to support each pupil's development.
  • Contribute to the wider school community and participate in school events and activities.


  • HLTA qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs.
  • Strong understanding of SEN best practices and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with SEN.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
