SEN Outreach Teacher

Dunbar Education is currently seeking a dedicated and qualified SEN Outreach Teacher to join our team in Milton Keynes. This unique position involves working in the community to deliver personalised 1:1 support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). The successful candidate will also collaborate with our base classroom setting to provide a comprehensive and integrated approach to education.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to students with SEN in the community and within the classroom setting at the base.
  • Develop and implement personalised learning plans tailored to the individual needs of each student.
  • Work collaboratively with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to create a supportive network for the students.
  • Build positive relationships with students who have experienced breaks in education, gradually fostering confidence in their ability to transition back into a traditional school environment.
  • Employ a flexible and adaptive teaching approach to address a range of SEN requirements.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Proven experience working with students with Special Educational Needs.
  • Ability to work flexibly and independently in both community and classroom settings.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
