Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual or group support to students with special educational needs.
  • Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.
  • Help students overcome learning obstacles and develop academic, social, and life skills.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and other professionals to create inclusive and supportive learning environments.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the teaching team and parents/guardians.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with students with special educational needs is preferred but not essential. Training and support will be provided.
  • A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach to working with children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Qualifications:

  • A relevant qualification in special educational needs or a related field is desirable but not essential.
