- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the specific learning needs of students with SEN.
- Utilize a range of teaching strategies and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
- Assess and monitor students' progress, providing regular feedback and implementing appropriate interventions where necessary.
- Collaborate with other professionals, including teaching assistants, therapists, and parents, to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes independence, confidence, and a love of learning.
- Maintain accurate records of students' achievements, attendance, and behavior, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with school policies.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
- Proven experience working with children with special educational needs, preferably within a school setting.
- Strong knowledge of various SEN conditions, strategies, and interventions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of children with SEN.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods and resources to meet the diverse needs of students.
