SEN Teacher

Job Description

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and committed SEN Educator to join a specialised school located in Ware.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and oversee child-initiated activities that foster learning, development, and creativity.
  • Provide guidance and support to children, ensuring their safety, well-being, and active participation.
  • Cultivate a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes curiosity, exploration, and independent thinking.
  • Collaborate with a team of educators and professionals to create and implement personalized education plans.
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of each child, adjusting teaching strategies to meet their unique needs and abilities.
  • Establish effective communication channels with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on their child's progress and addressing any concerns or inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, including observations, assessments, and reports.


  • A degree in a relevant field such as Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Psychology, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Teaching certification with a focus on SEN
  • Demonstrated experience in planning and overseeing child-initiated activities within an educational setting.
  • Thorough understanding of child development principles and age-appropriate teaching methodologies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children and supporting their holistic development.
  • Knowledge of special educational needs and the ability to adapt teaching strategies accordingly would be advantageous.
  • Willingness to engage in continuous learning and participate in professional development opportunities.
