We are currentley seeking dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to join our team in the Heartfordshire area. This is a fantastic opportunity for recent graduates aspiring to a career in education or individuals with previous experience working with SEN individuals in schools or the care industry.
Role and Responsibilities: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing support and assistance to students with Special Educational Needs within our partner school community. Your responsibilities will include:
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement learning plans for students with SEN.
- Providing one-to-one or small group support to students during lessons, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their learning objectives.
- Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes students' social, emotional and academic development.
- Assisting with classroom activities, including preparing materials and resources to support differentiated learning.
- Collaborating with other professionals, parents and caregivers to ensure effective communication and holistic support for students with SEN.
- Monitoring and recording students' progress and achievements and providing feedback to the teaching team.
Requirements:
- Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs is highly desirable.
- Strong empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to supporting students' well-being and progress.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, colleagues and families.
- Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the diverse needs of students in a dynamic educational setting.
- A positive and proactive attitude, with the ability to use your initiative and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
