Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join the team at our partner school in Dunstable. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with special educational needs, helping them to access a quality education and reach their full potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with SEN.
  • Assist in the implementation of EHCP plans.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Promote the social and emotional development of students.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents/guardiands and other professionals to ensure the best support for students.
  • Help students with their academic and personal needs, including personal care if required.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable.
  • A compassionate and patient nature.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A commitment to promoting inclusivity and diversity.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational setting.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) is a plus!
