Job Opportunity: SEN Teaching Assistant - Watford

Dunbar Education is currently recruiting on behalf of a local primary school in Watford for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students with special educational needs.

Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Watford
Type: Full-Time
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support and assistance to students with special educational needs
  • Implement individualised education plans (IEPs) and adapt learning materials to meet students' needs
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment
  • Assist with classroom activities and manage behaviour effectively
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' development
  • Monitor and record students' progress and provide feedback

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with special educational needs
  • A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Relevant qualifications or training in special education (desirable but not essential)
  • A commitment to promoting the well-being and development of all students
