Permanent Teaching Assistants (Permanent Contract)
Hours: 30 hours per week, Term time
Salary: APTC 3, point 5
Actual Salary: £19,871 p.a. plus £1070 p.a. SEN Allowance
We are seeking to appoint Teaching Assistants to support pupils (sometimes 1:1) in mixed-age specialist classes.
Key Requirements:
- Experience and Knowledge: Proven experience working with children with diverse abilities.
- Curriculum Understanding: General understanding of national/foundation stage curriculum.
- Flexibility: Ability to work across various classes with pupils of different ages and needs.
- Specialised Skills: Knowledge of strategies for working with pupils with Complex Learning Needs.
- Passion for SEN: Strong interest and motivation in working with special needs children and developing relevant skills.
- Proactive Learning: Ability to self-evaluate learning needs and actively seek growth opportunities.
- Effective Communication: Calm, controlled, and effective communication with children and adults.
- Team Collaboration: Reflective on personal behaviour to ensure team cohesion and effectiveness.
- Professionalism: High level of professionalism and clear boundaries in school relationships.
- Qualifications: Level 2 (GCSE) Qualifications in English and Maths or high competence in literacy and numeracy tasks.
- IT Proficiency: Aptitude for understanding and working with specialist IT software and resources like iPads.
- Policy Adherence: Willingness to fully understand and adhere to relevant school policies, practices, and procedures.
