SEN Teaching Assistant

A primary school in Bedfordshire is seeking a dedicated part-time SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team starting in September.

This is a great opportunity to contribute to the development and success of pupils with SEN in a supportive and inclusive setting.

We are looking for someone that has experience with SEN in Primary Education and excellent knowledge of the needs.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with special educational needs in a primary school setting.
  • Strong understanding of SEN strategies and support techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting pupils with SEN.

Duties:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to pupils with SEN, helping them to access the curriculum and reach their full potential.
  • Assist in the implementation of EHCP's and support strategies.
  • Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to monitor and track pupil progress.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting social and emotional development.
  • Support pupils with personal care and mobility needs, if required.
