Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualised or small group support to pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), specifically those with autism, ADHD, and SEMH.
- Assist in the creation and implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs).
- Help pupils access the curriculum and engage in school activities.
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
- Collaborate with the SENCO and other staff members to ensure the needs of each pupil are met.
- Contribute to the overall ethos and values of the school.
Essential Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with autism and ADHD is preffered.
- Knowledge of SEND and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting children with special needs.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant qualifications in education or child development.
- Experience working in a school setting.
