Position: SENDCo (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator)
Location: Primary School, Bedfordshire
Start Date: September

Dunbar Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced SENDCo to join a vibrant primary school in Bedfordshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of pupils with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the SEND provision and ensuring the implementation of the SEND policy.
  • Coordinating with teachers, parents, and external agencies to support pupils with SEND.
  • Developing and reviewing Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Providing guidance and training to staff on SEND issues.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • National Award for SEN Coordination or willingness to achieve it.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within a primary school setting.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
