Position: SENDCo (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator)
Location: Primary School, Bedfordshire
Start Date: September
Dunbar Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced SENDCo to join a vibrant primary school in Bedfordshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of pupils with special educational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the SEND provision and ensuring the implementation of the SEND policy.
- Coordinating with teachers, parents, and external agencies to support pupils with SEND.
- Developing and reviewing Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Providing guidance and training to staff on SEND issues.
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- National Award for SEN Coordination or willingness to achieve it.
- Proven experience in a similar role within a primary school setting.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
